Rabbi Kramer is proud to serve as the spiritual
leader of Congregation Beth Israel. Rabbi Kramer holds a
Master’s Degree in Talmud and Rabbinics from the Graduate School
of theJewish
Theological Seminary and Rabbinic Ordination from the Jewish
Theological Seminary’s Rabbinical School where he was awarded the Isaac
H. Wolfson Memorial Award for Excellence in Scholarship, the Rabbi
Max Gelb Memorial Prize in Talmud, as well as the Professor
Louis Ginzberg Prize in Talmud.
Prior to rabbinical school, Rabbi Kramer earned a BA in English
Literature and ran his own internet design company that helped
pioneer the development of multi-media business collateral.
Rabbi Kramer’s greatest joy is his family – his wife Lori, who
holds an MA in Jewish Education from JTS and is the former Education
Director at Congregation Habonim in Manhattan, and their son Zalman.
Rabbi Kramer brings to CBI a deep love of Torah rooted in intellectual
and spiritual integrity, and a desire help each and every Jewish
man and woman find a way to become more meaningfully engaged with
